Today, my grandfather is 100 years old, several elders invited my grandfather to the Taoist masters to organize a large Taoist ceremony. I am a person who detests feudal superstitions, and I detest some people who cheat people's money by pretending to be gods and ghosts. However, strangely enough, I can accept the idea of having a big ceremony in the countryside or having a Taoist priest perform a puja for a deceased person to give his or her loved ones a dignified last journey. I may be a traditional rural Chinese, but I feel that this is a folklore and not a superstition, and I hope that my grandparents will be doing well there if there is a world of the afterlife.
